I am really excited about where Honda has taken fuel cell technology to make the whole thing practical and truly truly clean energy. This because not only is the Honda an electric car, it gets its electricity from a clean power electrical source - solar energy!!! You do not plug this car in. You "fill it" with Hydrogen. It takes less than five minutes.
In Hybrid Cars the Prius is the top car. Over 85 miles a gallon in the city and 80 miles per gallon on the highway. An absolutely stunning car that is almost affordable for single income families that make just over $30,000 a year. It is, in my opinion simply the best Hybrid for the dollars and for the luxury and comfort out there. In short it is the best thing since sliced bread.
The horizontal fuel cell, developed way back in time by Ballard Industries in Vancouver, has had a lot of problems in getting to market in domestic vehicles (some transit vehicles use fuel cells currently). The problem was not only finding hydrogen fueling stations, but simple problems of finding room in the vehicle for batteries, the electric engines, and most of all, for the fuel cell itself.
Honda has completely overcome all the technical problems by creating a vertical fuel cell. It even works in -30 degree F or C weather!!!!
This car (and system) is not only better than sliced bread! Like, it is really really healthy whole wheat multi-grain sliced bread!! Wonder Bread move over. Fuel cell technology has arrived.
Here is a video link that describes the car from a consumers point of view. I want one..... but I am told that envy and greed are mortal sins.
I hope you lust have one as well. That would make three mortal sins.
