Men mentoring men thru the passages of their lives.
"I am not getting a life, I am life." (paraphrase of E. Tolle)
If I am not for myself, who is for me? And if I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when? - Ethics of the Fathers, 1:14
As a man among men I am loving and compassionate.
I help build a better by being honest with myself and honest with others.
As a New Warrior I chose to work in the area of communications and governance with a special eye to facilitating openness and accountability. I believe actions follow mission - and by my actions you will know my mission.
My shadows lurks around issues of control and anxiety about outcomes. I also tend to be self-referenced when I really want to hear another person.
My work is to be mindful. I want to act without ego.
My chosen name - Shining Raven - captures light and shadow in a West Coast totem way and speaks to who I am and how I am. My heart lies most of all in British Columbia - the mountains, the deserts, the salt chuck, the inland waterways. The west is my home and the home of my grandfathers.
I give away my power if I reveal my shadow name.

As a man among men I have a certain pride about my country that I want to be able to continue unabated into the future. Our leaders may have spent money on the Olympics rather than on child poverty, but right now today - I am proud to be Canadian. …Continue
