ManKind Project Community of Canada

Men mentoring men thru the passages of their lives.

It was the coldest winter ever for Western Canada.  Animals were dying because of the cold.  Realizing the situation, porcupines huddled together.  Their collective body heat was their lifesaver.  But, their quills were hurting each other.

Tired of the barbs, they distanced themselves one from the other.  They began to die, alone and frozen.  Either they lived with the pricks from their companion’s quills, or the cold would be the end of them.

Back together they went, learning to live with the superficial wounds in return for family warmth.

The Moral: In relationships, you learn to live with each other’s imperfections while admiring more worthy qualities … like keeping your back warm at night!
